The composition opens onto the Molo, brought to life by boats that punctuate the foreground with a serene rhythm. In the background, the imposing mass of the Basilica of Redentore sull'isola della Giudecca stands out among the Venetian houses, immersed in that suspended atmosphere that is the unmistakable signature of the lagoon.
