Dedication on the reverse, Label of the Galleria Annunciata, Milano on the reverse. Important neorealist work from 1955 by Giuseppe Zigaina belonging to the historic and famous collection of 8x10 cm works by Cesare Zavattini to whom the idea of collecting paintings of this small format came to him in 1941, when he received from Raffaele Carrieri the sketch of a painting by Campigli of that measure. It was then that "the devil blew into his ear" prompting him to ask the most famous artists of the last century to create small works of that size for him. The idea allowed him to collect over 2,000 pieces by the major artists of the twentieth century.
